Studio setup
In the studio we work with professional studio lighting (Hensel, Godox), Medium format and full format cameras (PhaseOne, Nikon) and a flexible background system. We have various backgrounds ranging from neutral white to anthracite and natural colors.

When is the studio worthwhile?
We invite customers to the studio when uniform headshots, Product shots or classic Application portraits are in demand. Even for small teams (up to 10 people), the studio is often the more efficient choice than on location.
For authentic reportages, industrial photography or team pictures in a real working environment, however, we will be happy to come to you - see Studio vs. on-location.
Region & Dates
From the studio in Römerberg we are less than 30 minutes away in Speyer, Schifferstadt, Ludwigshafen and Mannheim. Dates in Heidelberg, Karlsruhe or Walldorf are easy to plan.
Atmosphere and workflow in the studio
My studio in Römerberg is consciously Small and personal - No huge open-plan studio with waiting areas for 20 people. You come in, feel welcome, get a coffee and then we concentrate on working on your photo.
We have a Make-up area with a mirror and proper lighting (no operating room lighting), a clothes rack for spare outfits and an ironing room for final corrections. Most clients stay for 30-60 minutes - after that we typically have 20-40 pictures in the box.
Studio backgrounds and setups
As standard, we work with white, neutral gray and deep black background. I also have a Natural wood background, one Brick look and a natural-textured sandstone look. This covers almost all desired visual languages.
In terms of lighting technology, we work with Hensel parabolic umbrellas and umbrellas from broncolor for classic headshots, Octa-Box for soft character images and Strip-Light + Brightener for classic 3-point set-ups. All of this is converted in 5 minutes - we can switch between several looks during an appointment without it taking long.
Booking and availability
Studio appointments are usually Bookable 1-2 weeks in advance. In urgent cases, we often find a slot within 2-5 working days.
We offer Individual appointments (60 minutes, ideal for 1-2 people), Half-day blocks (4 hours, ideal for 5-10 people) and Day shoots (8 hours, for whole teams). You are responsible for getting to the studio - free parking is available in front of the building.
📌 My standard for image rights
At Schepers Photography you get the following as standard full rights of use to all images supplied - unlimited in time, unlimited geographically, for all your own media (website, social media, print, press relations, career, annual report). No extra charge, no small print. An exception only applies if, before the shoot otherwise agreed in writing This happens very rarely.
Also a Copyright attribution is not mandatory. So you don't have to name me as the photographer if it doesn't fit the layout. My experience: If a picture is good, people will ask who took it. You can find more details about my license philosophy at Image rights & rights of use.
