Member of the BFFK
Schepers Photography is a member of the Association for Free Chambers (BFFK) - an initiative against compulsory membership of professional chambers. The BFFK has nothing to do with photography per se, but only in so far as I have the I take a very critical view of compulsory Chamber of Crafts membership.
I am currently also a compulsory member of the Chamber of Skilled Crafts - I am openly and publicly fighting against precisely these compulsory structures, as many in the industry know.
Data protection & GDPR
We work GDPR-compliantWritten consent of photographed persons, secure data transfer, clear deletion processes after license expiry. On request, we sign order processing contracts with group customers.
Quality standards in image processing
Image processing takes place on color-accurate EIZO monitors, Print images are profiled for CMYK printing. If required, we can supply proofs before production.
Ethics in dealing with AI and image processing
We use AI tools where they make sense (background cleanup, skin smoothing in a subtle form), but never to create fictitious characters or manipulate press images.
Find out more in our article AI images vs. real photography.
Insurance and liability
Schepers Photography is available via a Professional liability insured. This covers personal injury (e.g. if someone trips over a tripod) and damage to property (e.g. if a light stand falls over) during photo shoots.
📌 My standard for image rights
At Schepers Photography you get the following as standard full rights of use to all images supplied - unlimited in time, unlimited geographically, for all your own media (website, social media, print, press relations, career, annual report). No extra charge, no small print. An exception only applies if, before the shoot otherwise agreed in writing This happens very rarely.
Also a Copyright attribution is not mandatory. So you don't have to name me as the photographer if it doesn't fit the layout. My experience: If a picture is good, people will ask who took it. You can find more details about my license philosophy at Image rights & rights of use.
One Insurance covers my most expensive cameras, lenses and lighting setups - it's none of your business as a client, but it means that if something breaks on the day, it won't stop the shoot.
With very large corporate orders, I am used to having a Order processing contract and fill out compliance questionnaires. This is also part of my standard repertoire.
Further training and development
For me, professional development is not about certificate courses, but about Regular job shadowing with colleagues, workshops with equipment manufacturers (PhaseOne, Hensel, broncolor) and Participation in photojournalist networks.
I am also a regular reader of international photography publications and exchange ideas on workflow, image editing and AI tools in online communities. If you don't keep learning as a photographer, you fall behind.
My promise
Punctuality, reliability, professionalism. I show up on time, deliver within the promised time frame and communicate transparently.
If something doesn't work, I'll tell you - before you realize it.
Discretion and confidentiality.
I see things in industrial areas, on corporate floors and in private rooms that are not intended for the public. There's no word outside about anything that doesn't end up in the picture.
Fair calculation. I will not surprise you with additional claims at the end of the year. What is in the offer applies.
